The importance of sustainable energy is prevalent now more than ever, and the shift for businesses to be utilising sustainable energy is now being incorporated into many firm's strategic decision making processes and corporate sustainability policies.

In this webinar, we will be joined by Dave Hedges, Head of Employment Taxes at Azets, and guest speaker, Maxwell Toozs-Hobson, Regional Business Advisor for London & The South from Tesla For Business, UK & Ireland.

Dave will consider the tax related aspects of switching to electric vehicles, and related issues around charging and electricity provision. In addition, he will consider how the current health crisis has impacted on employee working arrangements and travel patterns.

During Maxwell's presentation, we will be hearing about Tesla's Environmental Impact and the measures they are implementing to "accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy", including vehicle features and business incentives. Tesla was founded in 2003 by a group of engineers looking at alternatives transportation to combustion engine vehicles. In January 2004, Elon Musk (who had recently sold his position at eBay) contributed US$6.5 million of the initial US$7.5 million investment. In 2008, Elon Musk, also the creator of SpaceX took over as CEO of the company and launched the Tesla Roadster, an electric car that was based on Lotus Elise. Now in 2020 Tesla is valued as the worlds valuable car company, with arguably the most advanced cars in the world.
