What is the Tees Valley Business Club?

We are a professional business networking club that strives to build a community of like-minded people. Our aim is to support local businesses to help them grow and connect them with people and information that may be of benefit to their business.

What’s included in my membership fee?

An invitation to attend all of our Club events throughout the duration of your membership as well as any partner events we may support. Food and refreshments are provided at Club events. You’ll also benefit from member-to-member introductions as well as opportunities to share events and news on our website.

How do I join?

Joining is simple, complete the application form here and process the payment to our account.

 

How long does it take to process my membership?

We process applications quickly and you can expect to have your membership processed within 2 weeks of applying (subject to availability and receipt of payment). Once you have been accepted and paid your membership fee you are free to attend our next available event. Please note that places for events are limited and offered on a first come first served basis to members. If you join close to the date of our next event it is important to note that this may already be fully booked and we will therefore not be able to accommodate you until the next event.

Can I come along to an event to see if I like it before I join?

Yes, one delegate per company can attend as a guest and there is no charge to do so. We allow up to six guests at each of our events. Further visits and extra delegates are charged at £20.00 per guest.

How often do members meet?

We have a regular calendar of events running throughout the year at venues across the Tees Valley. We don’t hold events in August or December. Our events calendar can be viewed here.

How much does it cost to join?

We offer a number of packages to suit your requirements. All membership packages can be found here.

What kind of people join the club?

Tees Valley Business Club is full of ambitious business people who are passionate about what they do. Our members tend to work in a range of functions and senior positions. We’re open to all sectors and we also have members from a variety of business support organisations such as banks, funders and local Council’s.

Is there a minimum subscription period?

Yes, 12 months.

Can I get a refund after I have joined?

No, unfortunately, refunds are not available after you have paid your membership. You may cancel during your membership, and request your details be removed from our system,  or cancel once it is due for renewal.

Can I bring a guest to an event?

Yes, members can bring along a guest to attend any of our Club events at no charge, provided they have not attended as a guest in the past and used their free place. All spaces are subject to availability.

I’m just starting out can I still join?

Yes, Tees Valley Business Club is open to all entrepreneurs and businesses regardless of how long they have been trading. In fact, we have a membership package designed specifically for start-up organisations and can be viewed here.

What happens if my membership lapses can I still come along to an event?

Your membership must be paid and up-to-date for you to be able to attend our events. If your membership lapses, you will not be able to attend any events until your payment is brought up to date.

How do I submit news articles and events to appear on your website?

What happens if I register to attend an event but subsequently are not able to attend?

If for some reason you cannot attend an event after you have registered please contact us at least 48 hours before the event to let us know.  Failure to attend or to advise us of cancellation within this timescale will result in a late cancellation charge of £20.00 which will be invoiced to you.

How close to my renewal date will you invoice me?

You will receive an email notification a month prior to your existing membership expiring asking if you wish to renew. Once confirmation of renewal is received an invoice will be emailed to you.

I attended an event as a guest over a year ago but would like another look, do I need to pay?

If you have previously attended one of our events as a guest you would be required to pay £20.00 to attend another event.

Does my membership allow me to attend every event?

Your membership includes attendance at each of our 10 events. On occasion, we may expand our events calendar and when we do so, members will also receive invitations to those events. Spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are held at various venues throughout the Tees Valley, and the capacity at each of those venues varies.

How do I register to attend an event?

An electronic email is sent to all individuals listed on your member profile with an option to register if you wish to attend. Please note this is a double click registration process and your space is only reserved once you see the confirmation message.

Is it possible to sponsor an event?

Sponsorship packages are available for each of our events. Please send an email to info@teesvalleybusinessclub.co.uk if you are interested in taking sponsorship.
