Tees Valley Business Club presents

In Conversation with Caroline Theobald, Managing Director of Bridge Club Ltd.  Caroline will introduce Bill Scott of Wilton Group.

A former plater, Bill Scott established the Wilton engineering business on Teesside in 1994 and within a year of formation, employed 168 people.

Today, Wilton Group has a 700 plus team of design, engineering and manufacturing operations in Middlesbrough, Aberdeen, Dundee, Great Yarmouth and Brazil.

The Wilton Group, which includes Wilton Engineering Services Limited (WESL), PD&MS Energy, Wilton Marine Services and Universal Coatings, has a projected growth of 75% this year by delivering projects in the oil and gas, subsea, marine, petrochemical and offshore renewable markets.

In addition to his business successes, Bill has set up a charitable fund at Wilton, takes part in charity events like the Great North Run and is a patron of the Middlesbrough and Teesside Philanthropic Foundation – the Foundation is made up of business leaders who are determined to put money back into their local community.

Caroline Theobald is Managing Director of Bridge Club Ltd.  Founded in 2000 Bridge Club Ltd is a private company with a mission to ‘champion, foster, and accelerate enterprise and entrepreneurship’. The Bridge Club Ltd, which is Located in Newcastle upon Tyne, has developed a range of services such as the "In Conversation With..." events format and bespoke consultancy services, to facilitate effective introductions for mutual gain.

Bridge Club Ltd has introduced thousands of people to like-minded individuals and given them access to a wealth of contacts. These connections have resulted in successful partnerships, lucrative contracts and a whole host of other business benefits. Caroline accepted a Queen’s Award for Enterprise Promotion for the work she continues to do in harnessing the enterprising capital of young people and business owner/managers. Having sat on the boards of a number of regional start ups including COCO Ltd, Fresh Element Ltd, MUSA Ltd, YENE Limited and as a former trustee of the North East e-learning Foundation, Caroline has developed a uniquely diverse network, which is leveraged to the benefit of both her own business and the customers of Bridge Club Ltd.
