Immerse yourself in a new production – Invest in Stockton

Tees Valley Business Club invites you to join us as we return to The Globe Theatre in Stockton-on-Tees.
Leading on from our ‘A Vision of the Future’ event last April, we will receive an update from Stockton Borough Council on the ambitious developments happening within the region.
Our event sponsor for the evening is chartered surveyors and commercial property consultants Dodds Brown. We will hear from partner Richard Wilson on workspace trends and refurbishments in addition to the recent merger with Portland Estates Management.
With a musical undertone fitting to the venue, we will enjoy performances from musicians, including those taking part in Generator’s Breakthrough programme.

Parking
There is ample parking available at the Wellington Square car park, directions can be found here. Charges start at £1.50 for a three hour stay. The venue is a four minute walk away.

Guest booking: We enable six guests to attend each of our events. As part of Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council’s Senior Management Team, Chris leads a diverse service with a portfolio of teams that includes Place Development, Economic Development, Inward Investment, Business Engagement, Adult Learning & Skills, Land & Property, Planning Services, and Building Control. He is also the corporate lead for the Education, Employment and Skills agenda alongside the Tees Valley Combined Authority.
Chris’ early career focused on transport planning and major infrastructure projects across the Tees Valley. He has since been involved in a variety of projects for the Council including overseeing the regeneration of Stockton Town Centre.
Iain Robinson
STOCKTON BOROUGH COUNCIL
As Assistant Director within the Regeneration and Inclusive Growth Directorate, Iain leads a multi-disciplinary team with the remit to drive forward the Council’s Borough wide regeneration ambitions with an initial focus on transforming their six town centres through a £200m investment programme over the next few years.
Iain leads on town centre redevelopment across the Borough’s town centres, covering large scale regeneration and redevelopment sites, infrastructure schemes, site acquisitions and business engagement & development.
Working at Stockton straight from University in 2002, Iain’s early career focused on several brownfield regeneration schemes along the River Tees corridor including the redevelopment of Tees White Water Course, Stockton Middlesbrough Initiative and North Shore redevelopment before going on to manage the Strategic Development Team within the Council, successfully drafting the Borough’s Local Plan and taking it through examination in public in 2018 as well as being the Council’s lead officer on the development and delivery of the 128 bed Hampton by Hilton Hotel scheme.
Iain is a former rugby player and retains a keen interest in local sport as well as being a novice golfer.
