Join us at Teesside University as we present our new ‘In Conversation’ events series, welcoming a number of notable speakers from across our wider community to share their exclusive stories from the worlds of sport, culture, and business.

On Thursday 2nd February we will be joined by Dominic Carter, EVP Publisher of The Sun, the biggest popular news brand in the UK and the fastest growing digital news brand in the US. He was also named Champion of the Year at the UK Social Mobility Awards last year, recognising his work encouraging action that will promote and increase social mobility.

Dominic graduated from Teesside University in 1988 in Business, Accounting and Marketing before going on to join News in 1991. He held various roles across The Sun and The Times before leaving the business in 1999 to launch a digital arm for a major publisher and subsequently joining Mirror Group Newspapers as Group Advertising Director.

In 2006 he returned to News and since then has held a number of senior commercial roles across the business. In 2018 Dominic was appointed Group Chief Commercial Officer for News UK, overseeing all national commercial operations across print, digital, video and radio.
