The Worker Protection Act 2023 comes into effect this October 2024…

This new act brings stricter regulations for employers. Now, more than ever, organisations must take immediate steps to protect their teams from sexual harassment in the workplace.

The new act introduces:
Greater Employer Responsibility: employers have a duty to “take reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment of their employees in the course of their employment”.

Increased penalties: Employment Tribunals can now apply a compensation uplift of 25% on successful claims.

To ensure that your business is prepared, Outsourced HR is offering a training session on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion which includes the mandatory Prevention of Sexual Harassment. The session will run on Wednesday 18th September from 9 am to 1 pm at Business Central, Darlington. This training is designed to provide the tools managers and leadership teams need to prevent and address this kind of harassment and foster successful work environments.

This session costs £125 plus VAT per delegate. Other dates may become available if there is sufficient interest so, please get in touch if this date isn’t convenient. Alternatively, we can offer tailored training sessions on-site and in-house.
