The Power of the Tees Valley
Redcar and Cleveland is a fantastic place to invest. We’re incredibly excited about the sheer volume of investment happening and the bright future that is ahead of us, a bright future for everyone connected to Redcar and Cleveland. The big projects will bring thousands of jobs, benefiting local people and businesses. These new jobs will increase the disposable income of local people, who will spend money in our local shops, food and drink venues and support other local businesses – which will create more jobs in these businesses too!
Importantly, young people can also look ahead to a bright future in Redcar and Cleveland. They will be able to study locally and forge careers in global organisations without having to consider uprooting and moving away and our growing independent business scene, vibrant evening economy and coastal lifestyle is there for them in their downtime.

David Jack
Global Sales Manager, SeAH Wind Ltd
David Jack has spent the last the last 12 years in the Steel Pipe Industry, developing and implementing business strategies for new market entrants and products. Delivering over £100m+ of orders in in the supply of Offshore Wind Steel products since 2016. SeAH Wind is his single largest project to date, as he continues to shake up the status quo of existing foundation supply chains in the UK and beyond.
Darren Winter
Chair, Redcar Town Deal Partnership
Darren Winter is the Founder and Company Director of Duco Digital, an award winning marketing agency and accredited training provider in AI, Business Analysis and Data Protection based in Redcar.
He is Chair of the Redcar Town Deal Board overseeing £25m of UK Government being spent to revitalise the town, organiser of the Redcar & Cleveland Business Network and a regular guest speaker about technology, and champion of small business at business groups and events.
Rachael Conisbee
Owner, Shorty's Gin
Rachael Conisbee started the business in 2017, her father nicknamed her Shorty as a child, the name has stuck and it seemed the right name for the brand.
Initially trading from Whitby, Shorty’s is now distilling and retailing from the recently refurbished Town Hall at Guisborough. She produces the award winning Endeavour Gin together with a range of fruit based gin liqueurs, and to commemorate her relocation to Guisborough, Shorty created a new gin named Town Hall Gin which is already receiving critical acclaim from various gin bloggers.
Cllr Karen King
Founder, Redcar and Cleveland Business Network
Karen King is a founding member of the Redcar and Cleveland Business Network and is the sole proprietor of Kings Celebrant Services. Karen is also a Redcar and Cleveland ward councillor representing St Germains ward in Marske.
