North East Access to Finance has recently commissioned EKOS, one of the UK's leading economic and social research consultancies, to carry out a major piece of research into the impact of public investment funds in this area and come forward with proposals for the design of future funds.
We have now produced our Strategic Overview and Recommendations, based on the research and our extensive consultations in the region. The document sets out a clear strategic direction which, we believe, is relevant not only for North East England but at a national level. It is available on our website at www.nea2f.co.uk together with a copy of the full EKOS report.
The research has been welcomed by the North East Local Enterprise Partnership and Tees Vally Unlimited and I am very pleased that the LEPs have supported our recommendations.
