COULD YOU BE OUR NEXT TRAINEE BOARD MEMBER?
We are seeking applications from people who are interested in joining our two year Board Training Programme (up to 6 vacancies)
Time commitment – circa two days a month
(to fit around work and other commitments)
Reasonable expenses paid plus £1,500 per annum
North Star and Thirteen are not for profit Housing Associations operating mainly in the North East region with their office locations in Teesside. They provide affordable housing for a range of people. Together with Housing Diversity Network we are launching a regional two year Board Training Programme.
These vacancies will be of particular interest to people who have a strong social purpose, who are passionate about communities and who want to shape and influence our organisations.
We welcome applications from people who are committed to learning and developing new skills and who have curiosity and open minds. Previous experience and knowledge about housing is not essential. You will be provided with an extensive two-year training and development programme. In return you will need to demonstrate a commitment to the programme and to the organisations’ social purpose. We are specifically focusing on under representation in our governance structures and we are keen to increase the diversity of thought and lived experience on our boards and committees, therefore we are interested in applications from people from minority-ethnic backgrounds, women and young people.
For an informal chat or more information please contact Katherine McGough on 07850774198 or katherine.mcgough@northstarhg.co.uk
To apply directly email katherine.mcgough@northstarhg.co.uk providing a short statement (no more than 500 words) setting out why you would be interested in this opportunity by no later than 12/2/2021. Please include your name and contact details (either phone number or email address) in your application.
