Jonathan Briggs will deliver a guest lecture, followed by Q&A, to consider how his work over the last 8 years in Asia can inform approaches for UK businesses, in the areas of retail, marketing, payment models and innovation.

About Jonathan: Jonathan is a graduate of Imperial College London (Computer Science) and until 2014 was a Professor of eBusiness at Kingston University. He co-founded Hyper Island in 1996 and designed the MA Digital Management course in collaboration with Teesside University in 2012 (delivered in the UK, Sweden and Singapore). Both Hyper Island and the MA course are designed to help individuals drive change and transformation in a digital world. Jonathan has spent the last 8 years in Singapore and designs learning experiences for a wide range of corporate clients from Bank of Singapore and Moet Hennessy to Jardines (Mandarin Oriental, Schindler, Pizza Hut) and DHL. His passions are finding tools and insights from one industry/discipline and applying them to another: networks, platform thinking, omni-channel commerce, power of blockchain. Jonathan was a member of Unilevers Digital Advisory Board from 2010-19 and in 2019 Jonathan was appointed as an Honorary Professor at Teesside University Business School.
