Our Instrumentation and Control learners have been trained in world-class, purpose-built facilities, using industry-relevant equipment and cutting-edge technology. With a strong focus on hands-on learning and a commitment to health and safety, our learners are now looking for their next opportunity to progress onto an apprenticeship. They are ready to hit the ground running and make an immediate impact in your business. June 2025, our learners will complete the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (BTEC) Instrumentation Level 3 qualification – they will be available to start an apprenticeship from July onwards.
During their 2 year course, they have covered academic modules such as:
- Health & Safety in an Engineering Environment
- Maths for Engineering Technicians
- Industrial Process Measurement
- Engineering Drawing
- Process Plant Control
- Electrical Principles Practically, they have experienced:
- Calibration - (Pressure, flow, level and Temperature devices, etc)
- Completed maintenance activities
- Loop Checking / proof testing
- LOTO - Safe isolation
- Reading and understanding PID drawings
- Loop drawings
- CAD design
- Hazardous areas
- Process Control
- Hart Communication - TREX communicators
- Problem solving and fault finding
- Control Valve, Pneumatic and Hydraulic Systems Servicing
- PLC and DCS & Safety Trip Systems programming
- Control valve, pneumatic and hydraulic systems servicing
