Dodds Brown to market Whitby offices

Dodds Brown has been appointed to market nearly 7,000 sq ft of new, high quality office accommodation in a semi-rural location to the north of Whitby, North Yorkshire, to help meet demand from local businesses.

Sympathetically converted from former diary buildings, five new modern office suites will be created, ranging in size from 613 sq ft to 3,121 sq ft, at the Ayrshire Buildings, Mulgrave Castle, on the Mulgrave Estate, a 15,000 acre estate, running from the coast to the North York Moors, just north of Whitby. The new office space will be ready for occupation from April 2019.

"There is limited office accommodation for businesses in the town centre and particularly to the north of Whitby with business owners having to look as far away as Teesside for readily available office space," says Richard Wilson, Associate Partner at Dodds Brown and letting agent for the Ayrshire Buildings at Mulgrave Castle.

Accessed from the A174 through the village of Lythe, the Ayrshire Buildings at Mulgrave Castle will provide high quality office space in an attractive landscaped semi-rural setting. This is a rare opportunity for existing and new local businesses to be based in the highly desirable grounds of Mulgrave Castle, one of Yorkshire's Great Estates.

The new office scheme will benefit from demand created by the development of Sirius Minerals potash mine on the North Yorks Moors near Sneatonthorpe and from Dalby's Offshore Renewable Energy Centre at Endeavour Wharf in Whitby. Associated businesses will be looking for office accommodation, but we also believe that there will be interest from businesses in tourism, agriculture, rural crafts and professional services too.

Constructed to a high specification, the new offices will benefit from comfort cooling, superfast broadband, a shared meeting room, and more than 50 car parking spaces. A general store and Post Office, tearoom and pub are only a short walk away in the village of Lythe.
