Evolution LLP win award

June 19th 2013

TEES Valley accountancy practice Evolution LLP has marked its rapid rise to power by picking up one of the most prestigious awards in the region’s professional services sector.

For the second year in succession the firm, which was founded less than three years ago, has been named Independent Firm of the Year at the North East Accountancy Awards.

As well as being the only firm to win that title two years in a row, it was also shortlisted for the Accounting and Finance Employer of the Year award.

Evolution has been a rising star of the North East’s professional services sector since its inception in July 2010 and this year has continued to grow its team and broaden its service offering.

Over the last 12 months the firm has developed several new service areas including its online accounting solution, eTime, and taken on seven new members of staff – with more expected to follow in the coming months.

The firm believes its success in the independent firm category can be attributed to its ability to constantly evolve its strategy by meeting the changing demands of its clients and taking a market-driven rather than sales-orientated approach.

Managing partner Martin Barber said: “We’re extremely proud of our success at the North East Accountancy Awards and believe it highlights our refusal to stand still as a business.

“We’ve looked at what we do well and critically analysed what we could do better, meaning we have grown in size in employee numbers, client numbers and turnover alike.

“We are constantly evolving our strategy, asking clients what they want and need and striving to deliver, so we can both retain and gain clients.”

Evolution, which recently gained Investors In People (IIP) accreditation for exceptional staff and client management, acts for a wide range of clients from sole traders to multinationals and offers a broad spectrum of services including personal tax returns and tax planning for high net-worth individuals.
