The Future Ready Summer Internship programme is fully funded by Teesside University and exclusively available to a limited number of second-year undergraduate students across specific programmes. It offers a fantastic opportunity for students to enhance their employability through 8 weeks of hands-on experience with a Tees Valley employer and gives you access to motivated students with industry-specific skills and fresh perspectives. Our student interns can serve as a skilled resource to support your short-term projects or busy periods. We are looking specifically for roles within Engineering, Fashion, Forensics and Crime Scene, Social Sciences and IT and Computer Science.

The opportunity, benefits, and process:
• Paid Internships: Interns will be employed by Teesside University and hosted within a local organisation.
• Duration and Hours: Internships will run for 8 weeks from 1st June – 24th July, for 20 hours per week.
• Access to talent: Your organisation can be supported on key projects and activities by an intern. Many employers advise that students internships are a great opportunity to assess talent for potential future employment within their organisation.
• Process: Student Futures will facilitate the selection process, via on-campus interviews on either the 16th, 17th or 18th of March 2026. Successful students will be matched to an opportunity according to their development needs and career aspirations. If you would like to be involved in the selection process, an optional additional meeting is available, for you to meet the candidate after pre-selection has taken place. Please note, submission of a role does not guarantee placement of an intern; this will be subject to our selection process and suitability of students to your role(s).
