Hewitts Solicitors Mark 10 Years on Stockton High Street

A North East solicitor’s firm is marking a memorable milestone this week as they celebrate the 10th anniversary of their current premises on Stockton’s High Street.

Hewitts Solicitors have become one of the region’s longest established law firms, which has been proudly serving the local community for more than 60 years.

Over the past decade, their flagship office in Stockton has become a recognisable part of the High Street landscape and the company is excited to be part of the exciting plans for development in this part of the town.

Helen Simmons, Hewitts’ managing partner, commented: “We have a long history within the town and when we opened the doors to our bespoke premises on the High Street in December 2013, it gave us the opportunity to share our expertise with many more people across Stockton, the wider Tees Valley and beyond.

We feel privileged to be celebrating this significant milestone and the ambitious development plans in the pipeline for Stockton High Street mean we can look forward to being part of one of the progressive towns in the country over the next 10 years.”

Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Housing, Councillor Nigel Cooke, said: “It’s great news that independent businesses are thriving in Stockton Town Centre and that Hewitts are celebrating a decade of being established on our fantastic High Street.

“The fact they have continued to trade here for a number of years, bringing both customers and staff into the town centre, shows the confidence that organisations and retailers alike have in the Council’s regeneration plans.
