Micropore Technologies based in Redcar have won two awards at The Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) Global Awards 2019.
The awards are open to entries from around the world, they were up against entries from major companies from Canada, China, USA, Belgium, S Korea, Australia, Finland and the UK. They are also differentiated by all being peer reviewed.
CEO, Dai Hayward said: "There were 18 categories of which a company can only enter two which is precisely what we did. We won both awards we entered: the Pharma Award (we were runner-up in this category last year) and the Innovative Product Award.
"Needless to say, it’s a wonderful reflection on the vision of the original founders at Loughborough University and the great team here at Wilton and in the USA for turning that vision into reality. We were bowled over by the accolade and really rather chuffed as you might imagine!"
