Middlesbrough´s Housing Requirements - Research Questionnaire

November 23rd 2012

Please see below a message relating to this news item and click here to access the questionairre.

I am writing on behalf of a group of Newcastle University post-graduate students who have been requested by Middlesbrough Council to assist them in gathering and analysing data to help establish the housing requirements of the workforce of businesses based in Middlesbrough. The information will help identify potential gaps in the existing housing stock and inform the thinking of the revised Core Strategy Development Plan Document. The overall aim of the research is to help Middlesbrough Council provide a balanced and sustainable housing stock to meet the current and future needs of the population.

We have been asked to target key employers in Middlesbrough and have subsequently devised the attached questionnaire. We would be grateful if you could circulate this among your staff and the questionnaire should take no longer than 5 minutes to complete. If you and your colleagues are willing to participate, please could you complete and return questionnaires by email (e.l.thomas@newcastle.ac.uk) by Friday 30th November 2012.

Within the questionnaire we have included the opportunity for respondents to take part in a short focus group / interview at a time and place which would be most suitable for themselves. We would appreciate any additional time respondents could spare to discuss these issues in further depth.

If you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact me on this email address. I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours Faithfully,

Emma Thomas
