Recognition PR is a long-established PR and communications business based in Darlington.

Founded in 1988, the firm promotes and defends the products, services and people of its clients using a variety of ‘below the line’ techniques and platforms including - earned media coverage, events (real and virtual), networking, thought leadership, and social media. It does not provide expensive ‘above the line’ advertising campaigns. Its fees are based on day rates which are displayed on its website. Retained contracts are agreed on a rolling basis with a simple exit clause of one calendar month on either side – this approach encourages each party to work hard to deliver successful outcomes.

The business has an extensive video service and podcasting – which is also available to clients that don’t use its PR services. This includes a TV studio in Darlington that can be used for professional looking ‘zoom’ conferences and live broadcasts on various web channels.

Recognition was founded by Graham Robb, who has a background in broadcasting and politics. He has an extensive business background over 35 years advising some of the North’s top entrepreneurs include Duncan Bannatyne. His public service has included the IoD national Council, being deputy chair of the Entrepreneurs Forum, a member of Tees Valley LEP, and a board member of South Tees Development Corporation. Graham leads all public policy work by the agency, which is registered when appropriate. He is supported by three talented associate partners.

The firm has a wide range of clients, from large quoted firms to local small businesses. Its team of 15 people ensure all are given the best advice and support to help them grow and prosper.
