New Member Zizu´s Day Care

Zizu’s Day Care is a Middlesbrough based nursery and learning centre for children aged 6 weeks to 4 years old that will be celebrating its 5-year anniversary in September.

The centre was set up after founder Maaz Rahman, a global digital director at the time, identified a gap in the market for childcare for busy working parents and parents who often travel for work, after struggling to find a solution for himself and his own children following the passing of his late wife who the facility was set up in honour of.

The day care aims to teach children new learning experiences whilst exploring the outdoors with regular day trips. The centre also boasts a grassed garden area, where children can grow their own vegetables to encourage healthy eating.

Having seen an impact of the pandemic on their industry with a 75% decrease in numbers, Zizu’s Day Care was keen to join Tees Valley Business Club to promote the nursery to members who might be returning to the workplace post-lockdown.

Speaking on becoming the latest members of the club, Nicola Knight, operations director said: “We are so proud to have survived the pandemic when many other nurseries have closed, and this is all down to our staff who have gone above and beyond.

“We know the Tees Valley Business Club is a widely respected network within the region, we believe the club will be a brilliant way to spread the word of our day care to the quality network of members who may need childcare going forward.”
