Coming together once again on a stunning Spring evening, Tees Valley Business Club members gathered at Wynyard Hall to network and hear from Team Massive Result’s Ian Kinnery on some of the challenges businesses face in scaling up and Jill Wright from Tees Valley Careers.

Jill Wright teesvalleycareers.com coordinator spoke to the club about the new initiative launched by the Tees Valley Mayor, the first in its kind in the UK. The initiative aims to bring businesses and schools together to help shape and deliver careers and enterprise across the Tees Valley.

Jill passionately spoke about the need for businesses to work with pupils to provide them with the right skills and information for employment in order to keep talent in the Tees Valley. Jill asked the club members to get involved with the initiative and interact with schools, whether this may be providing work experience, attending a careers lunchtime drop in session, producing a video linking job roles to subjects and many more.

To finish the evening, Jane welcomed European Coach of the Year, Global Trainer and a multi award winning coach, Ian Kinnery of Team Massive Results, to the stage to provide a few words of wisdom to the members of the club and to explain the challenges of scaling up.

Ian said: “I firmly believe that the next step of evolution for the Tees Valley is helping existing businesses to Scale Up quickly and safely. We have proved it can be done.”
