Seminar Invitation - Countdown to GDPR

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which comes into force in May 2018 will mean a significant overhaul of data protection legislation by imposing stricter obligations for processing customer data.

Large or small, all businesses will need to review how they hold and use data and take steps to demonstrate compliance. Implied consent will no longer be acceptable, neither will opt outs and the right to be forgotten will become a reality. Furthermore, sanctions for breaches will be significantly higher and the ICO has also recommended that directors be held personally liable for data breaches.

In this seminar, we will provide an overview of the GDPR, in particular focusing on how it will work for SME businesses. We will also discuss practical measures that companies should start to prepare now.
