The Superstar Awards are gathering pace as nomination deadline approaches
The Superstar Awards are gaining momentum amongst the region's business community with nominations being received daily. Don't worry though, you still have time to nominate your Superstar - categories include The Number Cruncher, PA Extraordinaire, Virtual-ly the Best Assistant, Most Studious One, Customer Service Star, Jack or Jill of All Trades, and the overall 2013 Superstar.
The deadline for nominations is Friday 25th October 2013. Nominations must be made via our simple online form.
The Awards, organised by Entrust and Pitman Training Newcastle, provide a chance for the region’s very best office managers, PAs, secretaries, receptionists, accounting technicians and customer service staff, to take a bow. Find out more on our website.
Thoughts from some of our brilliant sponsors
Our Sponsors & Partners are really pleased to be involved in the inaugural Superstar Awards.
Anthony Josephs, Commercial Services Director at RMT Accountants, sponsors of The Number Cruncher category comments: “Support staff who look after day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting tasks are the lifeblood of any organisation. They’re the ones who make sure wages and expenses get paid on time, that invoices are sent out and chased up, and that their employers have the funds they need in the bank to cover their running costs.
“This is a terrific initiative and we’re extremely pleased to be able to help recognise the invaluable contribution these key staff make to the success of so many North East employers.”
Anthony Antoniou, Head of the Commercial Division at GEM Partnership, sponsors of the PA Extraordinaire category says: "At GEM we recognise the vital role support functions play within successful organisations and are genuinely inspired by some of the success stories we hear every day from our clients. The opportunity to recognise the hard work and dedication of the North East's PAs and secretaries staff was one we jumped at."
Superstars really do love the recognition
Our Superstar Awards aren’t a new concept – we’re the fresh face of Pitman Training Newcastle's highly successful Best Secretary on Tyneside Awards that last took place in 2009.
We spoke to Anne Howes, Senior Office Manager at destination management and marketing organisation NewcastleGateshead Initiative, who last scooped the highly sought after overall title, to get her take on what the awards represent. See what Anne thinks on our blog.
