Top accountancy firm appoints first class local talent

North East chartered accountancy practice Baines Jewitt is firmly looking to its future thanks to the recruitment of top talent.

The latest person to join the Stockton-based firm is 22 year old Amelia Webster from Redcar, who graduated from Durham University in 2019 with a first class honours degree in Accounting and Finance.

Starting out at Baines Jewitt as a trainee chartered accountant, Amelia is relishing her new job role. She said: “It is a win-win situation. As part of her three year professional training programme, Amelia aims to become an Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW). As well as earning a wage and gaining new skills, Amelia receives support from specialist training company Kaplan Financial.
