AN award-winning digital agency has this week announced that it is on the lookout for possible acquisitions to strengthen its position in the industry and potentially double its workforce following on from a period of record growth.
Stockton On Tees based Visualsoft, which already boasts almost 200 employees across three UK offices, plans to acquire companies which will complement the brand’s existing core products and services. The company offers a full service eCommerce solution to over 1000 online retailers including website design, development and a range of online marketing services.
The news comes after a 12 month period of record growth, with the company celebrating the launch of its 1000th website in August last year and being crowned Company of the Year at the recent North East Business Awards.
Dean Benson, CEO of Visualsoft said: “I’m really excited about the acquisition plans and the future of Visualsoft. We’ve come a long way since our humble beginnings as an online training venture 16 years ago, and we’ve made a lot of positive changes in the past six months”.
Visualsoft introduced unlimited paid holidays and flexitime for all employees in September 2014 following on from a previous MBO, which has been hailed a huge success with an increase in staff morale, improved service levels across all departments and an increase in overall turnover. The company is also due to expand into a new 30,000 sq ft building in the heart of Teesside next month.
Benson added “We’ve grown in tandem with the eCommerce sector - it’s been a busy and sometimes overwhelming few months but we’re not stopping yet, we hope to acquire a number of companies in the coming months”.
As well as announcing the plans to acquire other companies, Visualsoft also expects to create another 50 jobs over the next 12 months to strengthen its Development and Online Marketing teams.
