Delivered by Steve Guest, Managing Director of Techconsult UK Ltd, this workshop will give information and advice on how to recruit staff effectively.

Attendees will learn how to develop job descriptions, recruitment advertisements and about best practice interviewing techniques. An overview of the legal side of recruiting, essential to avoid potential litigation will also be given.

Attendees will:

  • Learn about identifying what is required in your next employee and the type of person you need
  • Learn how to get people interested and where to place job adverts to promote vacancies
  • Learn how to make sure that the selection process is fair and does not discriminate or breach employment laws
  • Find out how to interview effectively
  • Find out how to make job offers and take references
  • Learn how best to help your new employee get up and running
  • Learn how to work with an employment agency or resourcing consultancy and how to get the most from them
