Teesside International Airport was brought back into public ownership in 2019 with a ten-year turnaround plan to bring it back into profit and raise passenger numbers to more than one million per year. It has recently undergone a multimillion-pound terminal redevelopment to improve the customer experience and now attention is turning to its land and assets. Work is under way on a £200million, 1.9million sq ft business park providing logistics, distribution, and industrial buildings. The airport has also recently developed a cargo handling facility and secured Regulated Agent status.

KLM provides daily connectivity for business or pleasure to destinations worldwide via its Amsterdam Schiphol hub. Loganair operates flights across the UK and Ireland and Ryanair, Europe’s No 1 Airline, offer summer sun with multiple locations across the Mediterranean plus all year round to Spain. An additional programme of holiday charter flights also operate from the airport namely with TUI.
